AWS vs Azure vs Google Cloud — Service Mapping

A three-way cheat sheet of equivalent services across Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. Search or filter by category to find the counterpart on each platform.

Service Amazon Web Services Microsoft Azure Google Cloud
Cloud providers rename and reshuffle services often (for example, Azure Active Directory is now Microsoft Entra ID). Equivalents are approximate — services rarely match feature-for-feature. Always confirm against the official docs before making decisions.

How to use this cheat sheet

Each row lines up a type of service with the nearest equivalent on each of the three big public clouds. It's handy when you're migrating between platforms, learning a second cloud, or comparing architectures. Type in the search box to jump to a service by any of its names, or use the category chips to narrow the list.

Bear in mind these are closest counterparts, not identical products. Pricing models, limits, regions and features differ, and some services span more than one equivalent (for instance, Google Cloud Run maps to a mix of AWS Fargate, App Runner and Lambda depending on how you use it).

For general reference only. Service names and mappings are current at the time of writing but change frequently — verify against each provider's official documentation. Based on Google Cloud's and Microsoft's published service-comparison guides.
